One of the eleven oldest so-called "classical" music festivals in France! Since 1966, more than 250 concerts have been given by the Boucard Festival, as well as numerous plays. The Festival has also organized exhibitions of paintings, ceramics, sculptures etc...
Les Vagabondes is the improbable meeting of seven singers from various regions of France, on the terrace of a café, after an audition for a vocal ensemble. While they are just getting acquainted, one humorously offers to turn the situation around by founding their own ensemble. This is how Vagabondes was born, transforming an apparent competition into the beginning of a common adventure.
The ensemble delicately explores the repertoire for a capella female voices from the Renaissance to the post-Romantic era, while giving prominence to today's composers.
