Some caramelized apples, a crispy batter.. This authentic and legendary dessert will outstand your taste buds. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>The Tatin pie : the history of an outstanding legen<strong>d<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This meltingly soft and caramelized apple pie is a deliciousness for the taste buds. But do you know the history of this pie that is cooked right side up and is eaten upside down ?  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Let&#8217;s take you back to the end of the XIX&#8217;s century. The sisters Tatin, Caroline and St\u00e9phanie run a family hotel\/restaurant, the &#8220;Tatin Hotel&#8221;, situated at Lamotte-Beuvron, an adorable solognote village, at the heart of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aubigny-sologne.com\/en\/jexplore\/retour-a-la-nature\/la-sologne\/\"><strong>Sologne<\/strong><\/a>. The restaurant is frequented by numerous hunters. Without knowing she had forgotten the batter, she put the baking pan only filled with apples and sugar. When she found out she had forgotten the batter, half way through cooking time, she added the batter on the top of the apples and finished the cooking this way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The result has been a genuine success. The pie was crispy and the apples were caramelized and meltingly soft. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So, was the famous <strong>Tatin pie<\/strong> born from an oversight, from an awkwardness ? In a saucepan, place the butter and sugar.
